Department of Gastroenterology — International Trainee Program
1. Overview 2. Programs 3. Apply

The Department of Gastroenterology at Tane General Hospital, an acute-care general hospital located in Osaka, provides care for a wide range of digestive disorders — from diseases of the esophagus, stomach, and colon to hepatobiliary-pancreatic disease and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Advanced endoscopic procedures such as ESD, ERCP, EUS, and small-bowel endoscopy are performed as part of routine practice, giving trainees the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through a high volume of cases.

The training program offers multifaceted learning opportunities, including case observation in real clinical settings, case conferences and discussions, and hands-on practice using endoscopy simulators. The curriculum is designed to build knowledge and skills step by step, from fundamental endoscopic techniques through advanced therapeutic endoscopy.

For physicians visiting from overseas, we offer flexible training programs tailored to each trainee's experience and objectives. Through close exposure to world-class endoscopic practice and a wealth of clinical cases, trainees acquire knowledge and skills directly applicable to daily clinical work. We warmly welcome physicians from around the world to join our program.
